Bluebells

Good afternoon. Louise here. I was out working in the Lavender Field this afternoon getting it ready for the opening a month today on the 3rd June. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ The sun was shining, the sky a bright blue and the rows of Folgate lavender were greening up nicely and I thought I must take a photo for this journal of this beautiful scene of jewelled colours. We grow this variety or cultivar - to use the botanical term - for its iridescent blue flowers which still keep their colour when dried but as I walked back to the house I passed by the paddock which is awash with another blue flower, the bluebell. We have the whole of the summer (hopefully) to enjoy the lavender so instead I give you bluebells.๐Ÿ’™ We are fortunate here at Mentley. Not only do we have them growing at the front of the house but also in two of the woods on the farm. I think they give them an ethereal quality and I almost expect a fairy to appear amongst the dappled carpet of blue. Anyway back to real life. There are still a lot of weeding of plants and cuttings to take, not forgetting a newsletter which is due out on Friday. Please do click on the link at the bottom of this page to subscribe if you wish to be one of the first to know about, offers, whatโ€™s new, tips on growing your lavender and more and please follow me on instagram if you donโ€™t already. Thatโ€™s about it for today I think. Speak soon. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’œx
