The Still Room
Opening again in the summer for demonstrations
The Still Room is where we steam distil our harvested lavender to make lavender essential oil and hydrosol or floral water.
Distilling demonstrations are available for groups and we also offer a BYO lavender distillation service. Please email info@mentleyfarmlavender.com for further details.
The Distillation process explained
Steam is passed through our freshly picked lavender and then cooled to produce a mixture of our lavender or lavendin essential oil and lavender hydrosol or floral water. Both the essential oils and hydrosols have many uses which I explain in more detail on the Yard Store page.
