I though now would be a good time to include Frequently Asked Questions

Q When is the Lavender Field open this season?

πŸ’œ Friday - Sunday 11am - 4pm subject to the weather although it is also closed for several events so please check Google or ring me to check before you plan your visit.

Q Where is the Lavender Field?

πŸ’œ Just off the A10 in Hertfordshire SG11 1TW

Q Is the lavender flowering yet?

πŸ’œ I will post a picture in my Journal here each Thursday with an update. As you can see from todays’ picture, just the variety nearest is in flower but enough for you to take some lovely pictures. The one in the distance will follow in a couple of weeks and then the variety in the middle a few weeks after that.

Q Do we have to book?

πŸ’œ Not at the moment.

Q Can we pick the lavender?

UPDATE Weekend 30th Aug - 1st Sept You will be able to pick your own lavender bunch for a cost of Β£5. There will still be ready picked bunches for you to buy for Β£6.

Q Is there an entry fee?

πŸ’œAdults are Β£3 and children of school age Β£1 plus Β£5 to pick your own bunch. I want to make it affordable for all balanced with the fact that hours of mowing, strimming and weeding go in to making the Lavender Field beautiful for your visit.

Q Can we take photos?

πŸ’œ Yes in a private capacity and please do tag us @mentleyfarmlavender on your social media. The Lavender Field can be booked by the hour for professional shoots outside opening hours and I can put you in contact with a photographer if you would like to bring your horse!

Q Are dogs allowed

πŸ’œ Yes well behaved dogs, kept on a lead and please bring your own poo bags, there is a bin provided

Q Can we bring a picnic?

πŸ’œ No sorry see question below

Q Are there refreshments?

πŸ’œ Yes a small selection of hot and cold drinks and biscuits and cake with outdoor seating

Q Are there toilets facilities

πŸ’œ Yes but there are two small steps. Next year we plan to offer facilities to accommodate everyone.

Q Is the Lavender Field accessible for wheelchair users?

πŸ’œ Yes The ground is level and suitable when dry but please see question above.

Q Is there a shop?

πŸ’œ A variety of Lavender plants and gifts are available to buy from our trailers.

Q I heard there are yoga classes?

πŸ’œ Yes subject to the weather Thurs 5:15pm, Sat 11am & Sun 4pm Please email b.russ@brioneyoga.co.uk to book.

Q Are there workshops?

πŸ’œ Yes in distilling plants, basketry, wreath making, aromatherapy and learning about herbs. Please go to The Store for more information
